• PRIMARY PURPOSE
• The Software Engineer is responsible for the overall technology and architecture of SilkRoad products and services. As part of the Development team, the Software Engineer IV will be involved in the design, coding, unit testing, code review, and own the architecture of SilkRoad services and applications.

• REQUIREMENTS:
• All employees of SilkRoad are expected to use good business judgment and appropriate discretion and decision making while performing responsibilities of the position.
• Owns cross-team shared technology and architecture.
• Works with head of development to choose new technologies and promote culture/process.
• Does serious research to evaluate and test options.
• Understands implications (and trade-offs) of reliability, scalability, operational costs, ease of adoption by organization, recruiting, etc.
• Evaluate system-wide platform decisions and set long-term company-wide technical strategy.
• Potentially work both as individual contributors on a feature team and as architectural reviewers working with the head of development.

• EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 10 years’ experience developing commercial software in a cloud environment.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience developing independently in a variety of technology areas and owning functional areas.
• Experience with Microsoft stack (C#, SQL Server, ASP.NET)
• Experience with React, Node, Angular
• Experience with agile development practices like Scrum and Kanban
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
